Based on the knowledge sources provided, I can address part of your question about using Select2 in Editable Columns for Backpack. However, it's important to note that the information available is limited and doesn't fully cover your specific request. According to a discussion in the Backpack community forum, the feature of using Select2 in Editable Columns is not currently available, but it's being worked on. As stated by a Backpack team member: We are in the process of working on that feature. At the moment it's not available yet. The team member also mentioned that work has started on this feature, but the current status is uncertain. They were planning to follow up on its progress. Regarding your specific requirements:
It's worth noting that while Select2 is available as a field type in Backpack for regular forms, its integration with Editable Columns is still a work in progress. Unfortunately, the knowledge sources don't provide enough information to offer a workaround or alternative solution for your specific use case. If you need this functionality urgently, you might want to consider reaching out to the Backpack community or developers directly for more up-to-date information or potential custom solutions. ℹ️ Please note our AI Bot does not reply to follow-ups, this will be the only AI answer in this thread. I've been using Editable Columns and I love it. However, when we have lots of options in a Editable Select, we don't find it very user-friendly and would rather switch to Select2. Ideally both from array and from an AJAX endpoint. For the AJAX endpoint, the primary key of the record should be passed as a parameter. AJAX endpoint is low-priority for us ;)
