Slider/Switches for values bivalence temperature heating & water for optimal economically heating #180

Since yesterday (see #173) this is actually possible because we now know the registers for the bivalence temperatures (will have to check but they are in the docs). So we could add them quite easily in a first step. 🙂 Don't know if I would add a dependeny to the tibber prices integration. This adds a good measure of complexity which needs to be handled with every change or update... I think I'd prefer leaving that to the users and their powerful ha automations - as well as the calculation of the bivalence points, which would add further complexity. Apart from that we would need to integrate the website (or the contained js). |

Hi @gnomwechsel , Adding these entities definitely is possible and will be part of the 2.0-release. A tibber integration will not be part of this project. We would surely help you create a automation, that connects the already existing tibber integration to the bivalence value of this integration. |

Thank you very much.... Sounds good. Should explain about the "later enhancement": it was only meant as "personal enhancement" for my HA - the idea was not to include this into the Solvis control. I already use "tibber prices" - realised with rest sensor- as described in the following post. https://community.home-assistant.io/t/tibber-schedul-prices-upcoming-24-hours-prices/391565/19 - thanks to [p1ranha] (https://community.home-assistant.io/u/p1ranha) The idea to use an automation - dependend on the actual dynamic price of electricity and a database/table of bivalence temperatures based on Solvis´ calculator - could be a personal future project. The possibility to write values to registers for bivalence point temperatures would be the first step. Thank you all for the work! |

With oil-/gasburner and heat-pump equipped you can change the bivalence points (temperature to switch between gas and heat pump (electricity)). Since the price of oil-/gas is normally fixed, with a dynamic electricity tarif (e.g. tibber) you can use the bivalence point feature to heat the most economically (not ecologically!) way.
feature: possibility to write the value for both bivalence point temperatures via slider similar to e.g. "number.solvis_heizung_warmwasser_solltemperatur"
later enhancement: with the tibber prices integration you get the actual and future prices for electricity. With automation it could be possible to switch heating mode fully automated the most economic way. reduce cost for energy!
