Choosing a window to be put at the opposite side after tiling one doesn't work #428

Describe the bug

When using Drag to tile a window to any of the sides of the screen, choosing another window in the windows icon list to put in the opposite side does nothing.

Steps To Reproduce

  • Open two windows (for example, a terminal and Firefox), and ensure that both windows aren't maximized, nor tiled; ensure that both are "approximately at the middle of the screen, and with a non-full size".
  • Move one of them to one side, forcing the tiling mechanism to trigger, to tile it to that half of the screen.
  • After doing that, in the opposite side an icon representing the other window in the screen will be shown, representing which window do we want to tile on that side. Click on it.
  • We expect that that other window will be tiled in that side, but it isn't.

Tested with only tiling-assistant extension enabled.

System Info:

  • Distro (incl. version): Ubuntu 25.10 (it worked fine in older versions)
  • GNOME Shell version: Gnome 48
  • Extension version and from where (e. g. EGO, main branch...): downloaded from extensions.gnome.org.
  • XOrg/Wayland: Wayland

Journalctl logs

Every time a window is moved to the side to be tiled, a message with the text "Error in size change accounting" does appear in journalctl.
