"Posts failed loading, retry" error while scrolling

Describe The Bug

When scrolling down, on sh.itjust.works instance, I get the error message in a red bubble saying, "Posts failed loading, retry". Clicking the bubble results in the same error message. Two days like this. Happens in both ALL and LOCAL subscriptions, while logged in to my account.

To Reproduce

Go to sh.itjustworks instance on Jerboa 0.0.84
Scroll down and hang where it should load posts

In the case of a crash or when relevant include the logs

Hmm I can't reproduce this. If you go to settings > about, does it say 0.0.84 ?

hmm without logging I can't debug this.

Would it be possible for you to install debug version using Android studio onto your phone and share logcat output.

Otherwise I can make a modified apk. That crashes on that error and then you share the builtin crashlog.

We really should implement a better logcapture tool but its on our backlog.

I have same issue on the same instances. Happened on version 0.0.77 and 0.0.84. Doesn't happen on lemmy.ml so it feels like the request/response isn't working correctly.

Could this be a cloudflare issue? Cuz I can't repro this. Are you using VPNs?

This is almost certainly a back-end issue, nothing to do with jerboa.

There are a couple discussion threads about this on sh.itjust.works. A sever version upgrade was supposedly going to fix it, but it still seems like an issue. I'm not sure if Jerboa can do anything to fix it, but I'm not a Lemmy/Jerboa dev.

We'd need some logs, but as it seems from that thread above that its affecting other apps too, its likely not a jerboa issue.
