How strong does dwg differ from inventor?

In FreeCAD I detected an Addon called InventorLoader that import inventor files to FreeCAD. As far it adds also support for SAT files.

I'm wondering how different Inventor files are from dwg files. Is there any connection between libredwg and Inventorloader?

I don't know Inventor, but very likely they use the very same ACIS library
