Signature locations are not saved, preventing users to sign anything

Describe the bug

No signatures are applied when signing, despite no error shown in the UI.
The digital signature seems to still be applied. There is just no visible signature on the document.

It's a regression since 12.4.0. It was working fine on 12.3.3

To reproduce

• A user create a signing request, and place the signing location
• After that, when opening the document, no signing location is visible
• When signing the document, no error, but no visible signature either

• When the original user place the signature location, and click on "save", it is not saved.
• Re-opening the file after clicking save show no signature location;

No error is logged server side.

Expected behavior

When placing a signature location, it should be saved. The user then should be able to sign on that location.

Changed the coordinate field names in serializeVisibleElements() from { x, y, w, h } to { page, top, left, width, height } to match both the producer (buildVisibleElements) and consumer (PHP backend).
This is clearly a regression introduced during the Options API -> Composition API rewrite that happened between v12.3.3 and v12.4.0, where the serialization function was newly introduced with incorrect field names.

I have the same problem. I can save the position, but the document doesn't have a signature after signing.

I suspect the position isn't actually being saved.

I hope this problem gets resolved quickly.

I'm also still using Nextcloud Hub 25 Autumn (32.0.6).

Can you try my PR ? (linked above)
Else you can modify src/store/files.js directly with the changes I explained above, run npm run build, and move the generated js to nextcloud container (docker cp ./libresign/js/. nextcloud-aio-nextcloud:/var/www/html/custom_apps/libresign/js/).

Unfortunately, I'm just a user with little programming knowledge. From experience, I usually end up making things worse. I don't even have a container installed! I'm hoping the problem might be fixed with the Nextcloud update 33 "winter".

Thanks @ciaens, I applied your patch, ran npm install && npm run build via a node docker container and copied the resulting files. Now 12.4.0 works flawlessly again 😄
