Epoch for best score from EarlyStopping

I can retrieve the best score from the EarlyStopping callback

early_stopping = EarlyStopping(monitor="val_loss", mode="min")
early_stopping.best_score

but how can I get the epoch number for that best score (something like early_stopping.best_epoch)?
Would you be able to help?

Is it perhaps best_epoch = early_stopping.stopped_epoch - early_stopping.wait_count?
EDIT: actually not. If Early stopping was not triggered, stopped_epoch is 0 (it should really be initialized as None instead, I think) but we could still have a wait count different from zero (if we are close to max epochs). So, it should be best_epoch = (trainer.current_epoch - 1) - early_stopping.wait_count
