Prevent operators from viewing messages before they are sent

Hey there,

I hope this is the right place to ask. I've been looking at documentation and other threads but can't quite find the answer to my question.

My organization uses LHC as a volunteer-run community helpline.

Ideally, we don't want our volunteers to view the messages as they are being typed, but only once the "send" button has been clicked. Which is the case most of the time (a "Visitor is typing" message is then displayed.

But some of our volunteers occasionnaly report to me that they can see the messages before they're actually sent, which goes against our guidelines.

I'd like to disable this behaviour for all agent, but haven't been able to find which parameter activates / deactives that option.

Any help would be truly appreciated.

It seems like our configuration already shouldn't allow agents to view messages before they're sent.
I'm gonna take a closer look and will keep you guys posted.

If you would share screenshot where exatly they see visitor typing text then I could try to replicate.

Thanks for your reply.

Apologies in advance for the quality but that's unfortunately the only "screenshot" I've been given.
I've been asking for more details / better screenshots the next time they report this issue.

It's hard to spot because of the heavy editing, but at the bottom right corner, you can notice there's a preview of the message, instead of the usual "Visitor is typing" message

I have removed screenshot and I see place you are talking about. But you should get steps to replicate the issue in any case...

Hey, thanks for removing it.
I've tried enabling / disabling both parameters you mentioned ("Do not store what visitor is typing" / 'lhchat','see_sensitive_information') and haven't been enable to reproduce this issue.

I'm gonna try and reproduce it with the same laptop and config they use, will keep you updated.
