can't access the sunshin webui after installing the latest version. i had an older version up until about 15 minutes ago and i could access the webui just fine. now when i try go to it, itll just refuse the connection. tried it in a different browser - same story. ive double checked that port 47990 is open, and like it was literally opening just fine before updating.

You have not provided anything that can be useful to diagnose this, so I have converted this to a support discussion.

My guess is you're trying to access on http instead of https.

yeah, unfortunately there was no logs or anything i could contribute to helping diagnose the problem. i'm opening the webui just from right clicking the sunshine icon in the system tray, so not sure how i could be using the wrong protocol

same problem here. the connection gets refused, changing to http or https does nothing, changing browser does nothing, giving permission on both public and private firewall does nothing. im lost. it just goes "local host refused your connection"

I'm going to say that this is a bug. Fresh install, this happens on the second (and almost all subsequent) load of the program after a fresh install. Either quit and relaunch, or reboot the system, doesn't matter. I did a few clean installs to verify that this is the pattern for this behavior. Occasionally, it does load up properly and initialize networking.

Here's a screenshot of the aforementioned "Connection refused" screen in Microsoft Edge. It doesn't really matter what browser because sunshine.exe isn't binding a listening socket to begin with.

And to be sure it's not listening, I ran netstat -a -o -n -b:

As you can see, no entry for sunshine.exe because it simply hasn't bound a listening socket at all.

As for whether or not Sunshine is running, well, both the server process as well as the system service are running, per tasklist:

C:\Users\segin>tasklist | find "sunshine"

The only configuration I do with Sunshine each time is to set a username and password, and pair a single Moonlight client. It breaks and fails to initialize the WebUI (and it's listening socket).

Same issue here, testing on Windows 11 23H2.

I tried verifying and re-adding the firewall rule. netstat does not show sunshine listening.

I see sunshinesvc.exe running, while sunshine.exe seems to start and stop repeatedly.
The sunshine.log only gets this far before being rewritten with each auto-restart of sunshine.exe.

EDIT: Never mind, this is issue 2163, I have NV driver 551.61 and HDR.

I'm having the same problem, I'm on Ubuntu 24.04 x64 with a docker image, connection refused, opening containers with commands and opening them with compose is the same, and the sunshine containers will somehow auto-quit. I install the release version from GitHub directly on Ubuntu and it makes strange noises, Kubuntu crashes as soon as I start the sunshine desktop when I install it.
