Game stream always opens windowed

I use sunshine + moonlight to game from my PC to my living room TV. Whenever a game launches, it is not full screen--the Windows Start bar is visible on the bottom. I just have a game controller, not a keyboard/mouse, connected to my client. So I have to remote connect to my desktop through my phone to maximize the game stream. It seems like there is a better way.

Depending on the game you can probably set this in the game settings, or via a command line option. Unfortunately there is no standard for this so every game is different.

Thank you for the answer. I have all the games set to "fullscreen." I still have to manually click the running icon on the Start bar to make it fullscreen. It would be an improvement if I could at least get my game controller to move the on-screen mouse so I didn't have to remote connect in from my phone.

Hold start for 2 seconds to enable mouse mode in moonlight (I think for all clients).

Can you share the contents of your apps.json file so I can see the commands used to start the game?

The only other unusual thing I have is a global command to switch display to my virtual display driver (for my 4k TV).

Thanks. I'll see if I can get the gamepad to move the mouse using your suggestion. I wouldn't mind so much if I could more easily maximize the stream.
