We use calver now for all releases. Pre-releases are marked as such, and latest/stable is marked as latest.
You can easily get to the latest stable release from the repo home page, which only shows the latest.

on the release page it seems like the naming convention has changed from version to date format. i presume that this is a beta? is there a estimated date for when they will release a stable version?
