I was wondering if anyone has looked at porting a release for the jailbroken PS5? Currently, with etaHEN (https://github.com/etaHEN) & UMTX2 (https://github.com/idlesauce/umtx2) it has become possible to deploy services and applications on PS5, such as ftp servers, log servers, homebrew apps, etc.

The PS5 JB scene is rapidly expanding and new services and apps are becoming available. Running Sunshine Server on PS5 would be wildly useful, for example, to have your PS5 in a different area, but using Moonlight to stream PS5 on your laptop, similar to how PC Gamers stream their gaming from a primary gaming machine to all sorts of clients.

I highly doubt anyone has looked into this. Currently Sunshine does even not support BSD (though a PR would be accepted for that).

I've begun work for Sunshine to support FreeBSD.

I do have it successfully compiling, but unable to package it yet (see: https://gitlab.kitware.com/cmake/cmake/-/issues/27055). For now you can self compile I guess, just follow steps in the ci-freebsd.yml workflow if you're interested in that.

Once that is resolved there are other limitations that may or may not be able to be resolved:

• wayland is disabled
• cuda is disabled
• DS5 emulated gamepad will be missing some features due to no uhid

With that said, no idea if any of this work on a playstation. I kind of suspect it deviates heavily from stock FreeBSD.
