Author's note strength - what value to use for highest strength in kobold light .json file?

Hello all, I am using koboldcpp with the built in kobold light UI.
According to the wiki:

Author's Note - This is similar to memory, but is injected near the end of the prompt rather than at the start. It's used to describe recent situations, or guide the AI to behave in a certin way for the current scene. A/N Strength affects how far back this text is injected."

Looking at the .json file when I save my settings, I see that the A/N strength is probably the "anotestr" key, with the value of 320.
My questions are:

1. What does the value "320" really mean? For very long prompts, I sometimes see the author's note pop up in the middle of my prompt. Isn't it better to always include it and the end of every prompt before the generation?
2. What is the highest value I can use?
