Why doesnt the SD cards contain a proper filesystem? + other

Hi,
I recently bought the luckfox pico and ran into some issues to set it up that were followed with some decisions i dont understand.

Why can i only flash the SD on windows, any plans for linux support? (I dont have any windows systems)

Why does the SD not contain ANY partition table? (see image)
on linux it would be VERY useful to transfer be able to transfer files that way...

The wiki mentions Ubuntu but its no where, i saw something about issues 3rd party lib stuff on git.
will the wiki be updated about it? (had to find a old ubuntu image from yt links)

The provided AlpineLinux image on GDrive doenst work AT ALL on SD cards? (corrupt?)

Other than that i have been very happy with it so far 😄
