Describe the issue

Using the add-in and two watches lead to my IP being blocked, cascading to multiple other effects (i.e. not being able to configure watches in local WIFI network). I don't know how to address or fix, maybe one of the lead developers can try to reach out to Xplora team to see if this can become value add?

Reproduction steps

1. Let plugin be used daily
2. Watch your IP being blacklisted (Assume you having a longer lasting IPV4 address)

Danke für die Info, damit wird die Applikation bis auf weiteres eingestellt, meine Kommunikation zu den Entwicklern, waren sehr bescheiden, daher werde ich es auch nicht weiter verfolgen.

@Ludy87 Das Ganze funktioniert, wenn man das Scan Intervall etwas runtersetzt. Max. alle 60 Sek und man wird nicht geblockt.

Schade, eigentlich wollte ich gerade wegen einer anderen Sache hier rein schauen, die aber trotzdem bei dem Problem etwas helfen könnte: Meine Idee war, das scan interval dynamisch zu erhohen, z. B. wenn die Uhr im WLAN ist (erkannt durch network Integration). Klar, dass geht nicht immer aber man sollte die Requests schon deutlich reduzieren können, bzw. sie gezielter machen können, wenn es drauf ankommt.

Gedanke war das über eine HA-Automatisierung zu machen, weil man in die Integration ja gar nicht alle erdenklichen Bedingungen einbauen kann. Soweit ich das gesehen habe, ist es in HA aber bisher nicht ohne weiteres vorgesehen, Konfigurationen von Integrationen zu ändern. Vielleicht könnte man die scan interval-Einstellung aber zu einer virtuellen Entity machen.

This is just stupid, but I'm not surprised. My impression of the Xplora watch has been bad from day one. Battery doesn't last, GPS coordinates are meh, only support 2 admins. Their security. And now they actually are working against this add-on and not with open source?

Is there anything better? I have thought about Apple Watch, it's more expensive

For me, my whole account has been blocked. I was once blocked on IP previously, then I made some adjustments and Xplora confirmed the IP block was lifted. For me it was still blocked, so I rerouted traffic via VPN. Now they got mad I guess..

The funny thing is, they do NOT mention the account has been locked or IP blocked. You simply get the default wrong password/username message.

I'm seeking for alternatives, but that seems to be very hard, even in 2025.
