Web shared hoster

Hi, Lychee seems to be exactly what I search, but I don't understand how to install it on a shared web hoster (ie OVH / webcloud multisite). All I try leads me to a white page and no table created.
Is it indeed possible ?

It really depends how you install it and what kind of setup you have.
For example the lychee demo website is running on a VPS on OVH: http://demo.lycheeorg.dev/gallery

Hi, it's not a VPS but a shared web space.
I finally managed to install it with installatron, but it's in v6.10.3
Don't know if it's gonna work, we don't have too much visits, and if I will be able to upgrade it to version 7.

You need to make sure you have php ldap enabled for the latest version (this is usually one of the missing extension).
Also do know that you should NOT exposed the subfolder of public. Public should be the folder your user should access to directly.

If your url is:

• example.com/lychee/public < this is very BAD and present a significant security risk. I will not delve into details but please do not do that ever.
• example.com/lychee < this is better (as long as this is where you see the landing page directly)
• lychee.example.com < Best.

Migration upwards is usually not difficult, if you managed to get any version 6 running, the upgrade should be fairly easy.

at the moment, unfortunately yes because of the requirement of:

        "directorytree/ldaprecord-laravel": "^3.4.2",

in composer.json (and subsequently in some other parts of the code I believe, would need to look it up :( )

@oleonard Version 7.5.1 (soon) will no longer have that hard requirement.
