Checkpoints on Left Side of StabMatrix Window - How does it work ?

I looked at the quick explanation and I still don't understand how it works and where it stores things.

When I install anything (Textual Inv, or Lora etc.) from the Model Browser (bottom most icon on the left of StabMatrix Window), it is available for use when running the program. What does local mean exactly ?

Also if I Drag and Drop something, when the message says to do it, where is it stored? In the relevant Data/Model location ? If so, why the discrepancy noted in

Lastly, the Import as Connected switch does not appear to do anything that is noticeable. Connected to what from where?

I would much appreciate an explanation.
