First time contributor in MDAnalysis

Hi Dear maintainer.
I am Shreejan. Recently I have gone through an issue regarding EinsteinMSD. I have looked into it and raised a PR solving the issue.
I have used mdanalysis and also want to improve it. I have contributed to mdacli regarding tab completion and now also working on it and fixing it issues. It will be great to have your guidance.
Also, I want to contribute to MDAnalysis as a GSOC 2026 participant as well working on projects.

Thank you for your contributions. Using and developing MDAnalysis is a good combination!

We do not know yet if MDAnalysis will be part of GSOC2026. In fact Google has not even announced yet that they will run Google Summer of Code in 2026. We will update everyone about GSOC with MDA in the GSOC discussions forum.

I have a beginner-level background in Python and some experience with
