how can I preserve the hour price of price sensor in the long term statestics in HA

As I need HA data to invoice consumption to third party it would be good to keep the hour price sensor data. I cannot however figure out how to add a state_class to the sensors which this integration sets up.
Maybe this is trivial, but would appreciate some help.

Interesting anomaly discovered :-o
If I look at the history of my energy sensor for my car charger in the energy dashboard, I can also add the accumulated cost graph. I cannot however add the history of the hourly price from the energy data sensor.

If I look at the history of the energy data sensor it shows the history, and I can add both the energy sensor and the accumulated cost sensor.

Seems some limitation is built in when trying to look at history starting with an energy sensor of total_increasing type???

Anyway, now know how to get the data.
