Opening a zip file with bad content creates warnings for each unreadable file, should instead create 1 warning per zip

I have Simple Comic set as the default for zip files which is generally fine but sometimes I click the wrong file. I'm trying to unzip a file that's not a comic, but it opened with Simple Comic. Now I have a pop up I need to confirm potentially thousands of times. I also can't quit Simple Comic while this popup is still visible.

Does seem like a problem with Simple Comic, but for now you should be able to force quit Simple Comic. command-option-esc, choose Simple Comic, click the Force Quit button (that’s on Sequoia but it’s probably about the same on Tahoe). Force Quit isn’t something you should use a lot, but in cases like this I would.

Yeah force quit if you need to but Simple Comic is behaving correctly here.

I would not recommend setting Simple Comic as the default for .zip files, instead I have a universal shortcut from Quicksilver (but could be from any launcher/script-manager type app) that opens the selected files in Simple Comic.

Could it just pop up once per container instead of for every malformed file in it?

sure, that makes sense, I thought you had opened a bunch of zip files all at once
