Screen recording freezes when I switch to a different desktop

I'm on Ubuntu 24.04.
When I switch to a different desktop the video completely freezes / stays on the starting desktop.
Audio also isn't recorded while I'm on a different desktop.
When I switch back to the desktop with the snapify browser tap the recording starts working properly again.
