Total Newbie on Linux / How to install on Linux Mint ???

Sorry if this question is painfully obvious but could someone explain like I'm 5 (or 3) how to install the tar.gz compiled file downloaded from the website ? I have Linux Mint. I did install the dependencies (rustup, node, etc.) but I really don't understand what I'm doing...
