What was the rationale for making InputProperties read only?

I've just tried upgrading to CSLA 9 and it appears that InputProperties has been made read only with this release. What is the rationale for this? I'm now looking at updating 400+ business rules to use the Add method instead of setting InputProperties to a new list. I'm just curious what the advantage of this is, since I have hours of work ahead of me to fix this major breaking change. Thanks.

Hi.
There are some rationales why I contributed this change even though it could lead to some additional work.

• Incorporate https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/fundamentals/code-analysis/quality-rules/ca2227
• With NRT coming no need to check for an invalid set to null
• Prevent/Avoid misuse which errors only at runtime
• Reduce code
  I think it's good to make an API more robust, expressive and less easy to use wrong.
