Question regarding Windows 11

Fellow Csla developers,
Should I cough up the extra $70 for Windows 11 pro? : )
I like to run local IIS in addition to the usual Visual studio and Sql server (Developer edition).
I am ordering a new laptop (finally)

I always run Pro. The few times I tried running Home (?) I kept running into issues where things I use daily weren't available.

The few times that I played with Windows 11, I didn't care for it.

For my devices that can't upgrade to 11, I've started installing different Linux distros so they remain useful. You can't use Visual Studio, but vscode and Rider both work just fine, so as long as you aren't doing Windows dev (WinForms, WPF), I find that Linux works fine. Cinnamon Mint or Ubuntu are my current top choices.

Honestly, I only had a couple Win10 devices left - an old tablet and a half-working gaming laptop. Linux brought the tablet back to usefulness. The gaming laptop is currently just a playground, though I'm thinking of installing a variant of SteamOS so it can run games again - or it'll become my AI node in my Kubernetes cluster (composed of old laptops - free at-home server cluster ftw!).

Should I buy a dell refurbished or a new HP laptop? both are the same price but I have negative reviews about HP laptop.

@rockfordlhotka Thank you Sir. I saw a similar deal on Groupon a few days ago and got a license.
I am waiting for my laptop from HP. They had a sale going on, and I got a 17-inch gaming rig for around $1600.
I was informed that since it's customized, it will arrive around the 20th.
