Just grab the newly released binary once you're ready to migrate to v2 from the downloads section on the website and use it instead of the binary you previously used. There's also now an updater available which can be enabled/used within the settings but if you're coming from a version of Syncthing Tray that doesn't have it yet you can of course not use it yet.
I will not provide versions of Syncthing Tray that still come with built-in Syncthing v1. You can still use an external Syncthing binary if you want to use the latest version of Syncthing Tray but and older version of Syncthing.
There's a README section covering the topic. |

Hello,
I switched from synctrayzor to this about a year ago.
how do updates happen, I have been watching the v2 slowly start to happen for a few months and wondering how this is supposed to happen.
I am using windows, and installed with powershell. I use the built in syncthing. There appears to be no mechanism documented (there was one discussion that is incredibly ambiguous), and I noticed that you rebuilt a version with v2 - what is the upgrade process?
Does that mean you need to build it for each version of syncthing and we need to manually update? With synctrayzor syncthing would automatically update in the background (if you set it to do that).
Thank you for your work, and looking forward to figuring this out.
Cheers
