Tidal Hi-Fi Version
6.2.0
Current Behavior
Sometimes when entering the "Now Playing" view in Tidal Hi-Fi, the next tracks in the currently playing album or playlist (labelled "Next Up") start slowly shifting upwards in the UI pixel-by-pixel until a total visual mess is reached. Notably, the first track in that section stays still, and only the tracks below it move. The last track's album art also leaves a smudgy trail of pixels from the bottom of the album art when moving. This completely stops and everything appears as normal again when the next track starts playing. The issue also seems to be related to the track you start playing the album on.
Expected Behavior
The "Next Up" tracklist should remain static unless the currently playing track changes.
Steps to Reproduce
I was able to reproduce it with many albums at the fifth track as follows, using the apple tree under the sea by hemlocke springs as my example:
- Launch Tidal Hi-Fi
- Start playing this album at the track W-W-W-W-W
- Switch to the "Now Playing" view
- Wait for that song to finish playing so the currently playing track is moses.
- You may skip to the end of that track to speed up the process, but not skip the track entirely as the automatic transition from this track to the next is important for the issue to actually occur
- Observe the "Next Up" section; it should now display the aforementioned issue
- When the track concludes, the issue stops occurring.
This option can be done with almost every album, though the issue seems not to occur when an album is extremely long, such as with Deltarune Chapters 3+4 (Original Game Soundtrack) by Toby Fox. I suspect that the entire album's tracklist needs to fit on the "Now Playing" screen, as otherwise previously played tracks are only shown when deliberately scrolling up, which changes the behavior of the bugged tracklist in question.
Alternatively, it also happens when playing some albums from the beginning, though one track earlier like this, again using the same example album:
- Launch Tidal Hi-Fi
- Start playing this album with the big white "Play" button from the beginning
- Wait until the track W-W-W-W-W
- You may NOT skip forwards in any track or skip any track entirely, as the full uninterrupted playback of the album is important for the issue to actually occur using this method of reproduction
- The issue then also starts happening, though strangely it stops sooner than with the other option, the tracks not shifting up past the "Next Up from [...]" header
- When the track concludes, the issue stops occurring as well.
Screenshots and Logs
Here's what the visual bug looks like after a decently long time of the tracks slowly shifting upwards:

Additional Context
Note that I use Tidal Hi-Fi on a vertical monitor, so the amount of vertical screenspace available to me is different to most users. If my assumption about the entire tracklist needing to fit on the "Now Playing" screen is correct, that may play a role in reproducing the bug. 10-track albums have been the most reliable to reproduce this with for me, so try those first. Use shorter ones that still have at least seven tracks (as the issue starts at playing the fourth or fifth track, but affects the tracks after them in the "Next Up" section) if 10-track albums don't work on your end.
To get an idea of the screenspace:
I'm using a standard 1920x1080 monitor.
I have Tidal Hi-Fi zoomed out a bit, using ctrl+- twice.
The issue could be reproduced in windowed mode, docked to the edge of my screen, maximized or in system fullscreen mode using the Linux Mint F11 keybind (which hides the panel and app titlebar, extending the window to the entire monitor's dimensions).
