Material Design styles not working on first load with DataTemplateSelector

I have a ListView that uses custom data types (TextSetting, ComboBoxSetting, CheckBoxSetting) with a DataTemplateSelector to dynamically choose the right control template. The Material Design styles abnormal on the first time​ the interface loads. They only work correctly on the second load​ or when I revisit the page.
