Hey, your work is AMAZING!!! I’m begging you—can you help me get this stuff working on my system? I’m a total noob with Hyprland and scripting. Some scripts are calling others that aren’t in your repo, and I have no idea which packages I need to make it all work. Thanks a ton!

Glad to hear you like it this much! It's possible there are some custom binds I made that call specific scripts and commands. If you could paste them in here, I would be glad to help you with them.

Hello, I am a complete beginner and seeing your rice made me want to try arch i know i am a bit over my head but i want to try. I am having a similar issue with implementing it on my computer.
What i have done: i have installed the latest version and added the cloned config files in their respective.config.
Also in the hyprland.config i have removed the things at the top abt nvidia because i have an intel laptop. (don't know if i should)
Through the code in some places there is your home directory so i changed it to ~/.config/...
Changed the source in hyprpaper to be the folder with the wallpapers.

I can seem to get anything to work. Hyprland starts but in a very broken state with no wallpaper.

I will continue to tinker with it but i would be super grateful if u could lend a hand because i am very lost. Thank you in advance!

Hi @ItsAllwaysFriday , I am glad you like this rice I made for one of the Hyprland ricing competitions. This was a while back, so it's definitely outdated at this point. The configuration in this repository is not meant to be copied in its entirety, you should rather pick the elements you want and add them to your own configuration, while making sure you understand what you are doing. For that, I recommend reading the resources for the various software (Hyprland, Waybar, etc.) I have configured. I recommend reading the Hyprland wiki, and if you need help with something specific, there's always the Hyprland Discord server and the new Hyprland forums. I don't know what went wrong with your configuration, so I would recommend you to go back to what you had before, and add bit by bit the elements you like from this repository. If something doesn't work, go check out the appropriate resource, and adapt as needed. Ricing can be quite confusing when starting out, but it's worth learning all the aspects of it. Have fun!
