I got the same thing and had to do the following:

• Install Visual Studio Installer: https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/visual-cpp-build-tools/
• Install the "Desktop development with C++" workload
• Run this command "pip install sha256"
• Run this command "pip install pycryptodome"
• Then run the script again "python3 .\request_reports.py"

It didn't work the first time. I uninstalled pycryptodome and reinstalled it ("pip uninstall pycryptodome" then "pip install pycryptodome"). When I ran the script again it prompted me with the apple ID input request.

If you're still getting the "failed building wheel for pycrypto". Maybe try upgrading pip, setuptools, and wheel to the latest versions using "pip install --upgrade pip setuptools wheel", though I didn't have to do this for my situation.
