Crash when switching to full-screen

This crash reproduces randomly. It happened twice in the last 10 minutes. When the scenario starts, I press Alt + Enter:

Possibly related: #328 But these crashes only started within the last 12 hours, and I think it was about a week ago when I upgraded that I got the sdl2-compat package.

This happened again with a slightly different message at the end: corrupted double-linked list

I reproduced it intentionally after a few switches, but then tried 30 more times but couldn't reproduce it.
