Could not consistently configure personal results... but now it works

The authorization wiki says at its end:

If you are still prompted to allow personal results, that probably means that personal results could not be enabled in your current project. In this case, you might have to start afresh and create a new actions project if you want to enable this feature.

I had this exact problem, while the client was configured in its default language (English), but as soon as I changed the client to the language I configured on the Action Console (German), it worked.
