How to use geodesic path by Python?

I find 'geodesic path' in MeshInspector, and i want to use it in python.
In addition, are the two points in the geodesic path between two points required to be the vertices of the model?

torus = mrmesh.makeTorus(2, 1, 10, 10, None)
mtp1 = mrmesh.MeshTriPoint(mrmesh.EdgeId(0), mrmesh.TriPointf(0.2, 0.2))
mtp2 = mrmesh.MeshTriPoint(mrmesh.EdgeId(10), mrmesh.TriPointf(0.2, 0.2))
path = mrmesh.computeGeodesicPath(torus, mtp1, mtp2, mrmesh.GeodesicPathApprox.DijkstraBiDir)

Start and end points of the path are specified using MeshTriPoint, so they can be anywhere in a triangle and not necessary in a vertex.

We have search for the closest point on the mesh (or projection) in MeshLib for that:

meshTriPoint = mrmesh.findProjection(mrmesh.Vector3f(x, y, z), mesh).mtp
