some branch maintenance... got rid of a lot of old branches.

Today, I did some (hopefully) routine pruning of old branches. Basically, if something wasn't touched in a couple of weeks, and it is already merged, I deleted the branch.

I left the most recent ones around. Folks should clean up their own branches after they get merged... but I tend to wait a while ... just in case... I think everyone does... I think that's why we have to go back once in a while to fix prune the old branches.
