Description
The current developer experience is poor. The development flow is undocumented, there are no clear defaults or setup conventions, and the README is outdated.
At the moment, contributing requires too much tribal knowledge and guesswork, making onboarding difficult and error-prone.
We should modernize and document the development process to ensure new contributors can set up and build quickly. This includes:
- Updating and restructuring the README
- Defining clear setup and build steps
- Establishing sensible defaults and environment configurations
- Reducing hidden or undocumented dependencies
The goal is a clean, intuitive workflow that allows any developer to become productive within minutes.
