stars not working on IE11.

The package works on chrome, but IE11 is not working. I tried these steps per documentation...

meteor add fortawesome:fontawesome
.awesome {
font-family: FontAwesome;
}
in a vanila html {{> starsRating id='rating' star='\f005' class='awesome' mutable=true}}
