I want just to be able to play my local music through app to remove the hassle to use another music player just for local music playback

To be able to olay local music within app and get rit of extra local local

I would dislike this. An app should be simple and serve its purpose. Cluttering the streaming app by integrating other existing apps' features would increase complexity without benefit. Let the streaming app be a streaming app and use a player app as a player app. Also, a very basic MP3 player feature would not be enough to replace a full-featured MP3 player app like Musicolet. And adding a full-featured MP3-player into Metrolist would be a big effort to solve a problem that Musicolet has already solved and divert development resources away from Metrolist's purpose.

(Musicolet is just one example - choose any of the many player apps)

Some people might want to monitor their heart rate, track their GPS or even play chess while listening to music... so where to draw the line? Draw it right at the original purpose of an app: a music streaming app is for streaming music. There are other apps for other tasks and they can be used simultaneously.

To those who are looking for an InnerTune-Fork that has an integrated MP3-player, OuterTune might be what you are looking for. I chose Metrolist for what it is and its focus on it core purpose, making it small and simple.
