Feature description

Some apps that work with lists of any kind of items have a convenient feature to quickly select a range of items and I think it would benefit Metrolist's usability, too.

It works as follows:

  1. Long-tap the first song you want to select so the app goes into multi-select.
  2. Long-tap the last song you want to select. This shall select all songs between the first and the last.

Currently, long-tapping one song enables multi-select, but then every single song that the user wants to select needs to be ticked individually. Long-tapping another song while in multi-select currently does nothing, so this kind of input is available to be used for range-selection.

Why do you want this feature?

To quickly select a range of songs in my playlist, for example to remove an entire album from the playlist.

Additional information

In case examples are needed: Fossify Gallery and CX File Explorer can select ranges of files within a directory just as described in this feature request.
