Floating menu enhancements

A request for an enhancement to the floating menu

While the menu has its uses when writing a note containing R or Quarto, I don't use Obsidian to exclusively write such notes. The menu is a bit large and obscures the note title. I would like to be able to switch the menu off with perhaps a button on the menu itself, so I can remove it when I work on non-R notes.

Perhaps a command to toggle the menu that could be assigned to a hotkey?

There is a button in the settings to toggle the menu off, that is global though. I can see about a hotkey shouldn’t be too much work.
