Switchtec library error on I2C communication with PSX Gen5 #356

Description

Hi,

switchtec-user can't work in "mfg" with PSX Gen5.
Visual symptom - "No such device" error message.
Simple tracing - error on i2c_gas_cap_get() call at time of switchtec_open_i2c.

TWI0 bus scanned normally, detect adresses 0x50 and 0x58 (BOOT_RECOVERY[0] activated, default addresses). "i2cget" can read bytes from 0x58 without communication issues.

Gen5 PM52100 evaluation kit. MCP2221 USB-I2C adapter. OSes: Ubuntu, Debian and Debian under WSL2 (custom kernel) - the same issue.
There is no I2C communication problem as this hardware used for testing other devices communicated by I2C.

Regards,
