+No, Basic SKU is here to stay. We will soon add support for Standard IP to Basic SKU as currently it only supports Basic IP (which is on retirement path). Currently, you can create a Basic SKU through Powershell/CLI and once the support for Standard IP is added, portal should support Basic SKU creation as well.
