Metrics are different from placement constraints and node properties. Node properties are static descriptors of the nodes themselves. Metrics describe resources that nodes have and that services consume when they run on a node. A node property might be **HasSSD** and might be set to true or false. The amount of space available on that SSD and how much is consumed by services would be a metric like “DriveSpaceInMb.”
