+Azure Backup now supports archive tiering for eligible recovery points in **Stop protection and retain data** scenario. If the backup item is associated with a long term retention policy and it's moved to **Stop protection and retain data** state, you can choose to move all eligible recovery points to Vault-Archive tier. If backup item was associated with a short term retention policy and it's moved to **Stop protection & retain data** state, archive tiering isn't applicable.
