This diagram shows a breakdown of responsibilities between customer and SAP. One row describing customers own Azure subscription. On the customer level, no actions can be taken for SAP deployment, SAP management and application operation as these duties fall to SAP. On other hand of the diagram, there is no requirement to need SAP perform any action beyond network enablement, to open communication ports for the customer to use Azure services. Examples given are Microsoft Sentinel, single sign-on and app integration scenarios, described in chapters in this documentation.

There might be some circumstances when an initial request needs to be placed with SAP RISE for enablement. However, most Azure scenarios depend on open network communication to available SAP interfaces and activities entirely within customer's responsibility. Diagram shown in no way replaces or extends a responsibility matrix between the customer and SAP RISE/ECS.
