# Tutorial: Integrate Helper Helper with Azure Active Directory
24+
25+
In this tutorial, you'll learn how to integrate Helper Helper with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). When you integrate Helper Helper with Azure AD, you can:
26+
27+
* Control in Azure AD who has access to Helper Helper.
28+
* Enable your users to be automatically signed-in to Helper Helper with their Azure AD accounts.
29+
* Manage your accounts in one central location - the Azure portal.
30+
31+
To learn more about SaaS app integration with Azure AD, see [What is application access and single sign-on with Azure Active Directory](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/active-directory/active-directory-appssoaccess-whatis).
32+
33+
## Prerequisites
34+
35+
To get started, you need the following items:
36+
37+
* An Azure AD subscription. If you don't have a subscription, you can get a [free account](https://azure.microsoft.com/free/).
38+
* Helper Helper single sign-on (SSO) enabled subscription.
39+
40+
## Scenario description
41+
42+
In this tutorial, you configure and test Azure AD SSO in a test environment. Helper Helper supports **SP and IDP** initiated SSO and supports **Just In Time** user provisioning.
43+
44+
## Adding Helper Helper from the gallery
45+
46+
To configure the integration of Helper Helper into Azure AD, you need to add Helper Helper from the gallery to your list of managed SaaS apps.
47+
48+
1. Sign in to the [Azure portal](https://portal.azure.com) using either a work or school account, or a personal Microsoft account.
49+
1. On the left navigation pane, select the **Azure Active Directory** service.
50+
1. Navigate to **Enterprise Applications** and then select **All Applications**.
51+
1. To add new application, select **New application**.
52+
1. In the **Add from the gallery** section, type **Helper Helper** in the search box.
53+
1. Select **Helper Helper** from results panel and then add the app. Wait a few seconds while the app is added to your tenant.
54+
55+
## Configure and test Azure AD single sign-on
56+
57+
Configure and test Azure AD SSO with Helper Helper using a test user called **B. Simon**. For SSO to work, you need to establish a link relationship between an Azure AD user and the related user in Helper Helper.
58+
59+
To configure and test Azure AD SSO with Helper Helper, complete the following building blocks:
60+
61+
1. **[Configure Azure AD SSO](#configure-azure-ad-sso)** to enable your users to use this feature.
62+
2. **[Configure Helper Helper](#configure-helper-helper)** to configure the SSO settings on application side.
63+
3. **[Create an Azure AD test user](#create-an-azure-ad-test-user)** to test Azure AD single sign-on with B. Simon.
64+
4. **[Assign the Azure AD test user](#assign-the-azure-ad-test-user)** to enable B. Simon to use Azure AD single sign-on.
65+
5. **[Create Helper Helper test user](#create-helper-helper-test-user)** to have a counterpart of B. Simon in Helper Helper that is linked to the Azure AD representation of user.
66+
6. **[Test SSO](#test-sso)** to verify whether the configuration works.
67+
68+
### Configure Azure AD SSO
69+
70+
Follow these steps to enable Azure AD SSO in the Azure portal.
71+
72+
1. In the [Azure portal](https://portal.azure.com/), on the **Helper Helper** application integration page, find the **Manage** section and select **Single sign-on**.
73+
1. On the **Select a Single sign-on method** page, select **SAML**.
74+
1. On the **Set up Single Sign-On with SAML** page, click the edit/pen icon for **Basic SAML Configuration** to edit the settings.
75+
76+
![Edit Basic SAML Configuration](common/edit-urls.png)
77+
78+
1. On the **Basic SAML Configuration** section, if you have **Service Provider metadata file** and wish to configure in **IDP** initiated mode perform the following steps:
79+
80+
>[!NOTE]
81+
>Go to the url `https://sso.helperhelper.com/saml/<customer_id>` to get the Service Provider metadata file. Contact [Helper Helper Client support team](mailto:[email protected]) for `<customer_id>`.
82+
83+
a. Click **Upload metadata file**.
84+
85+
b. Click on **folder logo** to select the metadata file and click **Upload**.
86+
87+
c. After the metadata file is successfully uploaded, the **Identifier** and **Reply URL** values get auto populated in Basic SAML Configuration section.
88+
89+
> [!Note]
90+
> If the **Identifier** and **Reply URL** values do not get auto polulated, then fill in the values manually according to your requirement.
91+
92+
1. Click **Set additional URLs** and perform the following step if you wish to configure the application in **SP** initiated mode:
93+
94+
In the **Sign-on URL** text box, type a URL using the following pattern:
95+
`https://sso.helperhelper.com/saml/<customer_id>/login`
96+
97+
> [!NOTE]
98+
> The Sign-on URL value is not real. Update this value with the actual Sign-on URL. Contact [Helper Helper Client support team](mailto:[email protected]) to get this value. You can also refer to the patterns shown in the **Basic SAML Configuration** section in the Azure portal.l.
99+
100+
1. On the **Set up Single Sign-On with SAML** page, in the **SAML Signing Certificate** section, click copy button to copy **App Federation Metadata Url** and save it on your Notepad.
101+
102+
![The Certificate download link](common/copy-metadataurl.png)
103+
104+
1. On the **Set up Helper Helper** section, copy the appropriate URL(s) based on your requirement.
105+
106+
![Copy configuration URLs](common/copy-configuration-urls.png)
107+
108+
### Configure Helper Helper
109+
110+
To configure single sign-on on **Helper Helper** side, you need to send the **App Federation Metadata Url** to [Helper Helper support team](mailto:[email protected]). They set this setting to have the SAML SSO connection set properly on both sides.
111+
112+
### Create an Azure AD test user
113+
114+
In this section, you'll create a test user in the Azure portal called B. Simon.
115+
116+
1. From the left pane in the Azure portal, select **Azure Active Directory**, select **Users**, and then select **All users**.
117+
1. Select **New user** at the top of the screen.
118+
1. In the **User** properties, follow these steps:
119+
1. In the **Name** field, enter `B. Simon`.
120+
1. In the **User name** field, enter the [email protected]. For example, `[email protected]`.
121+
1. Select the **Show password** check box, and then write down the value that's displayed in the **Password** box.
122+
1. Click **Create**.
123+
124+
### Assign the Azure AD test user
125+
126+
In this section, you'll enable B. Simon to use Azure single sign-on by granting access to Helper Helper.
127+
128+
1. In the Azure portal, select **Enterprise Applications**, and then select **All applications**.
129+
1. In the applications list, select **Helper Helper**.
130+
1. In the app's overview page, find the **Manage** section and select **Users and groups**.
131+
132+
![The "Users and groups" link](common/users-groups-blade.png)
133+
134+
1. Select **Add user**, then select **Users and groups** in the **Add Assignment** dialog.
135+
136+
![The Add User link](common/add-assign-user.png)
137+
138+
1. In the **Users and groups** dialog, select **B. Simon** from the Users list, then click the **Select** button at the bottom of the screen.
139+
1. If you're expecting any role value in the SAML assertion, in the **Select Role** dialog, select the appropriate role for the user from the list and then click the **Select** button at the bottom of the screen.
140+
1. In the **Add Assignment** dialog, click the **Assign** button.
141+
142+
### Create Helper Helper test user
143+
144+
In this section, a user called Britta Simon is created in Helper Helper. Helper Helper supports just-in-time user provisioning, which is enabled by default. There is no action item for you in this section. If a user doesn't already exist in Helper Helper, a new one is created after authentication.
145+
146+
### Test SSO
147+
148+
When you select the Helper Helper tile in the Access Panel, you should be automatically signed in to the Helper Helper for which you set up SSO. For more information about the Access Panel, see [Introduction to the Access Panel](https://docs.microsoft.com/azure/active-directory/active-directory-saas-access-panel-introduction).
