A claims provide is an interface to communicate with different types of parties via its [technical profiles](technicalprofiles.md). Every claims provider must have one or more technical profiles that determine the endpoints and the protocols needed to communicate with the claims provider. A claims provider can have multiple technical profiles. For example, multiple technical profiles may be defined because the claims provider supports multiple protocols, various endpoints with different capabilities, or releases different claims at different assurance levels. It may be acceptable to release sensitive claims in one user journey, but not in another.

After creating a new customer tenant, you can customize the appearance of your web-based applications for customers who sign in or sign up, to personalize their end-user experience. In Azure AD, the default Microsoft branding will appear in your sign-in pages before you customize any settings. This branding represents the global look and feel that applies across all sign-ins to your tenant.

## Text customization
4345

You might have different requirements for the information you want to collect during sign-up and sign-in. The customer tenant comes with a built-in set of information stored in attributes, such as Given Name, Surname, City, and Postal Code. In the customer tenant, we have two options to add custom text to the sign-up and sign-in experience. The function is available under each user flow during language customization and also under **Company Branding**. Although we have two ways to customize strings, both ways modify the same JSON file. The most recent change made either via **User flows** or via **Company Branding** will always override the previous one.
