RDCMan 3.1 - Error possibly involving 'location' on Windows Server 2016 and 2019 when connecting to server

I downloaded the RDCMan.exe and created a new .rdg-file

When trying to connect to a server, I get an error saying:

Error possibly involving 'location'

Catastrophic failure error (0x8000FFFF (E_UNEXPENCED))

When trying this on my Windows 11 24H2 machine, it works fine

I think this is a good find. As an extra, do you have "redirect Location" turned on?

I have not turned it on. The issue also appears if the box is checked.

This really seems to apply to everyone who uses Windows Server 2016 / 2019 servers. Do others only use workstations and newer operating systems when others have not reported this. We also have a 2019 server in use for a long time, and cannot update this new version.

Same issue here. Worked well with v2.93 version and now can't connect any more with the same error described above and not allowed to use this v2.93 previous version.
