window.chrome.webview.addEventListener Uncaught TypeError

window.chrome.webview.addEventListener outputs an error when an ad appears on YouTube.
If ads are not displayed when viewing YouTube, no error is displayed
is this a bug?

This happens in the official webview sample code.
