I renamed .dist.htaccess to .htaccess and I got errors

I renamed .dist.htaccess to .htaccess. i would then get 406 Not Acceptable error when I attempted to reply or create topics. A checkbox would also appear on the forum homepage. Did I do something wrong?

1. Most likely, some kind of protection is enabled on your server (for example, mod_security for Apache).

2. And the .dist.htaccess file presented sets fairly strict rules for the Content-Security-Policy. They probably need to be made less strict. In any case, in this form it blocks inline scripts and styles. So this file can be considered as an example that requires customization.

   The headers responsible for negotiation can be tracked in the browser developer tools (F12) on the Network tab.

A simple solution: remove .htaccess
