Microtransit - GTFS Schedule "Flex" vs GOFS: improving ease of implementation

Looking for feedback from consumers and producers around microtransit use cases which are supported by both as Demand responsive services in GTFS Schedule and by GOFS. We expect there will be a need for improved interoperability to ensure services are discoverable in GTFS and benefit from realtime elements in GOFS.

What has worked well for producers and consumers so far? How are you using each specification?

Should we look at standing up a converter to ease adoption?

We have an internal converter that takes a GTFS-flex and outputs a static GOFS. Our backend for the support of Flex is all based making is simpler for us to support both.

We plan on making that converter open source in the short term.
