Saving images - sending them directly

I use the feature when an image is saved on motion but would it be possible to have some feature so that the image could be sent directly to a subscriber instead of saving to disk? I would really like and recommend to use MQTT. In my case I have a python script that reads the image and sends it to a broker but it would nice to be able to send the image directly from Motion
